Mineralisation Increasing At Depth
New World Resources Limited (ASX: NWC) has received positive further results from drilling down-dip from the historical underground workings at the Antler Copper Projectin Arizona, USA.
Managing Director, Michael Haynes, said new assay results confirm >28m of high-grade mineralisation in drill hole ANTDD202021; and >18m of strong mineralisation intersected along strike in the most recently completed follow-up hole
“The ongoing drilling at Antler continues to both deliver outstanding assay results and intersect thick new zones of mineralisation as we step-out and move progressively further down-dip,” Mr Haynes said.
“We are rapidly delineating a substantial and coherent thick zone of high-grade mineralisation that now extends a long way – more than 350 metres – down-dip from the historical workings.
“Our most recent assays have confirmed more than 28 metres of high-grade mineralisation in one hole, with more than 18 metres of strongly mineralised material also intersected in our most recently completed follow-up hole, with assays pending.
“These are two of our deepest holes to date – and the mineralisation seems to be getting better and better with depth. This gives us confidence that, as we continue to drill, we will continue to discover more mineralisation.”
Hole ANTDD202021 was drilled to evaluate the area immediately north of the 23m thick interval of predominantly massive sulphides intersected in ANTDD202020. This hole deviated considerably during drilling operations, such that it ultimately intersected more than 16m of massive- and semi-massive sulphides approximately 25m down-plunge from (deeper and slightly north of) the 23m interval of high-grade mineralisation intersected in ANTDD202020.
Assay results confirmed that three intervals, for a combined total of more than 28m, of high-grade mineralisation has been intersected in this hole.
Follow-up Drill Hole, ANTRCDD202025 has recently been completed to continue to evaluate the strike and depth extensions of the thick high-grade mineralisation that continues to be delineated down-dip from the historical workings at the Antler Deposit.
This hole also deviated considerably during drilling operations but, pleasingly, has intersected an 18m+ thick zone of sulphide-rich mineralisation approximately 25m north of the mineralisation intersected in ANTDD202021.
In addition to the RC pre-collar drilled for ANTRCDD202025, four other RC pre-collars have recently been completed at the Antler Project. These holes are now being systematically completed with diamond-core tails through the target zones (ANTRCDD202023, ANTRCDD202027, ANTRCDD202028 and ANTRCDD202029).
A single diamond core rig will continue to operate at the Project during the forthcoming Thanksgiving holiday weekend in the US (26-29 November). Shortly thereafter, a second diamond core rig as well as a Reverse Circulation drilling rig will resume operations.
