Drills 5.09 g/t AuEq Over 8.37M Down Dip Of Historical Revel Ridge Resource Areas
Rokmaster Resources Corporation (TSXV: RKR) has received initial positive assay results from its ongoing drill programme at the Revel Ridge polymetallic gold-silver Project in south central British Columbia.
The results demonstrate the continuity of gold mineralisation in the Revel Ridge Main Zone (RRMZ), with the project strategically located in an area of year-round road access and excellent infrastructure 35 km north of Revelstoke.
Highlights Include:
- DDH RR20-11 assays 5.09 g/t AuEq over 8.37 metres. DDH RR20-11 conclusively demonstrates that significant gold mineralisation exists external to the current resource area and remains open.
- Drilling targeted mineralisation external to the existing resource area to test continuity of gold rich mineralisation.
- >6,200 m of drilling in 20 NQ diamond drill holes completed to date.
- Drilling is ongoing and further results are pending from 19 holes.
President and CEO, John Mirko, said DDH RR20-11 intersected the RRMZ mineralisation approximately 90m down dip from the last hole drilled on this sectional plane and together with results of DDH RR20-12 suggests that, on this section, RRMZ mineralisation forms a near continuous mineralised sheet with a currently known down-dip extent exceeding 600m..
“Rokmaster’s technical team continues to be impressed with the style and strength of mineralisation associated with the RRMZ which is a structurally controlled, orogenic, gold enriched sulphide system with exceptional continuity,” Mr Mirko said.
“Macroscale characteristics of mineralization within the RRMZ give no indication that system is weakening at depth as the style and form of mineralization over the 600 vertical metres above the DDH RR20-11 pierce point is effectively identical.”
The current drill programme has been designed to target mineralisation external to the existing resource area. The results of DDH RR20-11 strongly confirm that gold mineralisation of significant grade and width exists well outside of the existing resource area and those zones continue to be targeted by Rokmaster’s technical team.
Due to the strength of these initial results from the Main Zone, Rokmaster is planning an expanded surface and underground drill programme for 2021. The expanded 2021 drill programme will continue to target the strongly gold enriched massive sulphides associated with the RRMZ, which remains open both along strike and up and down dip.
