Assay TV catches up with Aneel Waraich, executive vice president and director of Steppe Gold (TSX: STGO), a Mongolian precious metals company projected to produce over 100Koz of gold from its current operational oxide zone of ATO Gold Mine in 2022 and 2023.
Aneel informs us that the company has recently completed a feasibility study into expansion of the ATO Gold Mine to approximately 100,000oz per annum, from the development of underlying fresh rock ores. Furthermore, Steppe Gold has received approval from the Mongolian government to provide grid power to the ATO Phase 2 expansion – driving significant energy savings.
Aneel also explains that Steppe is currently constructing a 1,000t/h fixed crushing circuit, which will allow the company to process more oxide ore, produce more ounces, and generate more cashflow for Phase 2 of the project.
