Panther Metals (ASX:PNT) has started extensional drilling at its flagship Coglia Nickel-Cobalt Project, plus further exploration at the Mt Goose nickel and Comet Well South gold prospects in the Laverton region of Western Australia.
Highlights
- The RC drill programme at Coglia aims to grow the 70.6Mt Nickel-Cobalt resource at Coglia, which is within trucking distance to Glencore’s Murrin Murrin HPAL plant.
- Three key areas are in the ‘Southern JORC Exploration Target’ and the ‘East’ and ‘Central’ exploration targets, as Panther aims to unlock the full potential of this highly promising battery metals project.
- Concurrently, a 378 hole auger drill programmw has started across two other areas.
- At Mt Goose, Panther will test an area where a historic peak soil sample of 1.5% nickel was returned, but not followed up on.
- The company will additionally target infilling an untested portion of the Comet Well South area which covers a highly anomalous gold trend.
