Iceni Gold Limited (ASX: ICL) has shared updates on its 14 Mile Well Gold Project, located in the Laverton Greenstone Belt of Western Australia.
A comprehensive RC drilling programme, spanning approximately 3,500m across 33 holes, has been successfully completed. Focus areas included high-priority gold and lithium targets, specifically:
- Claypan
- Breakaway
- Monument Area
- Guyer Well
Gold discoveries include:
- Guyer Northwest (FMRC0020): Within a depth of 80m, 4m @ 0.37g/t, including a 2m section at 0.62g/t.
- Guyer Northwest (FMRC0009): At a depth of 46m, 4m @ 0.11g/t.
- Monument North (FMRC0004): A 12m interval from 28m @ 0.16 g/t.
- Monument South (FMRC0015): At a depth of 14m, 2m @ 0.38g/t.
The company is currently evaluating the potential for basement sulphide mineralization by considering additional drilling beneath the RC intercepts. Additionally, Iceni is designing drillholes for exploration targets at Everleigh Well, Goose Well, and Crossroads.
The company anticipates recommencing exploration drilling activities by the end of this quarter.
The 14 Mile Well Gold Project spans 900km² within the Laverton Greenstone Belt in Western Australia. Situated on the western side of Lake Carey, the project area lies midway between the million-ounce mining towns of Laverton and Leonora.
