The Assay TV checks in with Michael Parker, Executive Director of Solis Minerals (ASX: SLM), an emerging critical minerals explorer, focused on unlocking the vast potential of its South American assets.
Solis is building a significant copper portfolio around its core tenements of Ilo Este and Ilo Norte in Peru and currently holds 47 exploration concessions for a total of 37,100Ha (36 concessions granted with 11 in process).
Michael tells us that Cinto has an incredible address on the regional Incapuquio fault system with the giant Toquepala porphyry copper mine only 15km to the north. He explains that the magnetometry survey has provided the company with excellent insight into the geology and alteration at Cinto. Combined with Solis’ previous remote sensing work, and mapping and sampling – including its high-grade copper sample area in the northeast of the permits – the company is forming an exceptional toolbox to extract the maximum benefit from its ongoing porphyry exploration.
