Amex Exploration Inc. (TSXV: AMX | FSE: MX0 | OTCQX: AMXEF) has shared that recent drilling has significantly expanded the footprint of multiple zones at its flagship Perron Project in northwestern Abitibi, Quebec. The results highlight the company’s success in uncovering high-grade gold across various zones, extending them both along strike and at depth.
Following the economic stopes and open pits outlined in the Perron Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA), the company has optimized its drill hole planning, with the new strategy focusing on adding economically viable ounces to existing zones, further enhancing the project’s potential.
Drill Highlights Include:
Denise Zone:
- 35.82g/t Au over 1.20m, including 60.82g/t Au over 0.70m at a vertical depth of ~280m – hole PE-24-818
Upper High-Grade Zone:
- 69.03g/t Au over 0.50m at a vertical depth of ~730m – hole PE-21-386W2
E2 Zone:
- 5.75g/t Au over 2.40 m, including 22.63g/t Au over 0.50m at a vertical depth of ~105m – hole PE-24-819
- 6.02g/t Au over 3.00m, including 10.83g/t Au over 1.50m at a vertical depth of ~45m – hole PE-24-817
Grey Cat Zone:
- 49.75g/t Au over 0.60m at a vertical depth of ~50m – hole PEG-24-834
Gratien Zone:
- 5.71g/t Au over 3.80m, including 18.15g/t Au over 0.50m at a vertical depth of ~230m – hole PEG-24-826
- 7.44g/t Au over 2.00m, including 12.21g/t Au over 1.00m at a vertical depth of ~195m – hole PEG-24-828
JT Zone
- 0.61g/t Au over 162.00m, including 1.74g/t Au over 21.00m at a vertical depth of ~500m – hole PEX-24-266
- 0.72g/t Au over 123.00m, including 27.12g/t Au over 1.50m at a vertical depth of ~20m – hole PEX-24-265
Jacques Trottier, PhD, executive chairman of Amex Exploration commented, “Since receiving the block model from the Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) and subsequently the mine plan from the PEA, our geological team has been able to significantly refine the drill planning process with the goal of increasing economic ounces on the project within the known gold zones.”
