Grid Metals is focused on advancing its MM copper/nickel project in the Bird River area, approximately 150km northeast of Winnipeg, Manitoba. The MM Project consists of the Makwa and Mayville deposits with a fully funded drill programme ongoing at the prospective Eagle gabbro which sits outside of the current resource. Grid’s other projects in southeastern Manitoba include the Donner lithium project and the Falcon West cesium/lithium project. Grid has a lease agreement on the True North mill where it has rights to process feed from Donner, and Grid also has an MOU with Tantalum Mining Corporation of Canada Limited who operates the nearby producing Tanco Mine.
All of the company’s southeastern Manitoba projects are located on the Traditional Lands of the Sagkeeng First Nation with whom the company maintains an Exploration Agreement.
Investment Highlights
Developing a Critical Minerals Hub in Southeastern Manitoba – 150km from Winnipeg
High potential belt-scale copper/nickel project with significant resource
- Underexplored greenstone belt owing to fragmented ownership until belt consolidation by Grid in 2023
- 46Mt open pit resource with the goal to identify +75Mt
- Geological similarities to the “Ring of Fire”
- Ongoing drilling at highly prospective 4km Eagle copper trend which sits entirely outside of our current resource
- Eagle drill programme returned 25.0m at 1.47% CuEq and 20.0m at 0.99% CuEq, located over 400m apart
Optionality with Donner Lithium Project
- Advanced Exploration Permit has been received, subject to the posting of a reclamation bond. This allows Grid to complete a bulk sample at site and to move quickly into full mine permitting once lithium prices recover
- Potential to process resource at nearby Tanco Mine or True North Mill
Near-term catalysts provide re-rate potential
- Exploration results from copper/nickel drilling in Q4/2024
