Argent Minerals Limited (ASX: ARD) has defined multiple high priority REE targets over the wholly-owned Copperhead Project in Western Australia based on remote sensing and radiometric data review.
“The Copperhead Project is well positioned for the potential discovery of REE mineralization within all our Exploration Licences, especially over our southern tenements as they abut Hastings Technology Metals Ltd Yangibana Exploration Licences (hosts the Yangibana REE Deposit), Dreadnought Resources Ltd, Venus Metals Ltd and Reach Resources Ltd which recently have had success in delineating carbonatite/ironstone REE mineralization,” Managing Director, Pedro Kastellorizos, said.
“We are confident in delineating REE mineralization based on our understanding of the structural/lithological controls which host the REE mineralization within our surrounding neighbours. The recent work has given us the geophysical, lithological structural targets and trends unknown to previous explorers.”
Exploration Summary
Core Geophysics Pty Ltd has recently conducted first pass re-processing of all the airborne radiometric and ASTER ferric oxide hyperspectral imagery in May-June 2023.
Fifty targets areas have been highlighted for ground verification and geochemical sampling.
In late June 2023 MAGSPEC Airborne Surveys Pty Ltd will conduct a detailed magnetic/radiometric airborne survey over E08/3369 and E08/3001. Future exploration will include significant ground reconnaissance to field check all potential ironstone/carbonatite target zones.
