o 0.6m @5.47g/t from 8.15m in CPDH015;
o 3.5m @0.98g/t from 20.5m in CPDH016;
o 0.5m @6.04g/t from 106.36m in CPDH016;
o 3m @2.28g/t from 47m in CPDH017 (including 0.68m @8.24g/t Au from 47.32m);
o 2m @1.82g/t from 127m in CPDH017; and o 1.6m @2.43g/t from 23.87m in CPDH018.
“Drilling at Capote confirms the vein system has high-grades, including near surface intervals,” Executive Chairman, Ross Landles, said.
“The Resurgimiento and Resurgimiento 2 vein systems continue to return attractive grades.
“Now that we have received all the results from our maiden drilling campaign we will assess the future resource potential and sites for further drilling.
“This includes targeting future drilling on the high-grade San Juan vein system. Historical information from the Capote Project San Juan vein indicates that it produced at a grade of 40g/t gold for approximately 500,000oz.”
Drill Programme Overview
4,056m has been completed in the maiden drill program at the company’s Capote Gold Project. Recently received results confirm that surface mineralization extends to depth and along strike.
New results received from diamond drilling at the Resurgimiento and other prospects are presented below.
Bastion has continued to successfully intercept gold at the Capote Gold Project, with results now received for all holes from CPDH014 to CPDH018.
The project has many veins that have yet to be evaluated at depth, including:
• Northern and southern extensions of the La Buena and Yayito system;
• Colo Colo, where the Company has identified an important intercept and is open to the north and south;
• The Resurgimiento and Resurgimiento 2 veins, which include visible gold; and
• At the district level the San Juan vein is open to the north and south and at depth and peripheral veins towards the north of the property have not been evaluated and have potential for gold and copper mineralisation.
