Bryah Resources Limited (ASX: BYH) in conjunction with OM (Manganese) Ltd (OMM) has submitted two mining licence applications at the company’s Bryah Basin manganese project, located in Western Australia.
Bryah (49%) and OMM (51%) have a Joint Venture to undertake exploration to test targets in the area, with a view to commencing manganese production. OMM is a wholly owned subsidiary of OM Holdings Limited (ASX: OMH), one of the world’s leading suppliers of manganese ores.
Commenting on the application, Bryah CEO Ashley Jones said: “The mining licence applications represent the successful manganese exploration that we have had to date. Further tonnes are expected to be added to the current JORC resource from recent results at Red Rum and Brumby Creek West. The Mining Licence applications and environmental permitting process are part of the final steps getting this manganese mining area back into production.”
Two mining licence areas are under application. The southern area encompasses the Black Hill JORC resource1 and the Black Hill Northeast prospect. The Northern application includes the Brumby Creek West, Brumby Creek East, Area 74 JORC resources and Redrum project areas. Both applications are on the exploration tenement E52 /3237. The application numbers are M 52/1087 for the Brumby Creek area and M 52/1088 for the Black Hill area.
