Castile Resources Limited (ASX:CST) has drilled another successful hole into the Jupiter Deeps zone of its Rover 1 IOCG “iron oxide copper gold) ore body in Australia’s Northern Territory.
The hole returned significant intercepts of high-grade copper and gold. Hole 21CRD005-1 has returned: 18.8m @ 2.4% Cu with 4.7g/t Au from 880.15m downhole (est. true width of 13.0m) including 6.6m @ 4.1% and Cu with 13.1 g/t Au from 882.35m downhole (est. true width of 4.6m).
Managing Director, Mark Hepburn, said a number of additional sub-parallel zones of higher-grade copper continue in the footwall to the main zone.
The following additional zones were assayed from 21CRD005-1: 4.8m @ 1.7% Cu from 914m downhole 1.7m @ 3.5% Cu from 923.3m downhole 3.1m @ 2.5% Cu from 927.7m downhole.
“This is yet another fantastic result that has re-affirmed our confidence and increased the overall size of our Jupiter Deeps Zone,” Mr Hepburn said.
“We anticipate that this zone, which is still open in most directions, will expand our mine and development plans. Importantly this latest hole along with others previously announced from this continue to define and expand a core of very high-grade copper and gold mineralisation in the Jupiter Deeps which will greatly enhance the economics of the mining studies underway.
Castile has been successfully wedging these holes from the single parent hole, 21CRD005. Results from hole 21CRD005 were released to the market on 30th August 2021 which included a broad intercept of 42.2 metres at 3.5% Cu and 2.1 g/t Au located about 25 metres south of the intercept in this announcement.
Castile has now completed drilling of the third hole of the Jupiter Deeps program 21CRD0005-2 and the core has been prepared and delivered to the lab for assay. Drilling has now begun on the fourth target of the program 21CRD005-3.
The company has commenced incorporating all of the new data from the company’s drilling programs into a revised resource model and our mining and development studies continue in parallel.
