Critical Resources Limited (ASX: CRR) has reported its final assay results from its comprehensive 2023 drilling programme at the Mavis Lake Lithium Project in Ontario, Canada.
The received results further extended the known mineralization at Mavis Lake to a strike length of 1.1km, with tight spacing providing high confidence in the continuity of the mineralization throughout the Main Zone.
Standout assay results include:
- Drill-hole MF23-230 with 18.35m @ 1.46% Li2O from 160.65m down-hole, and an additional lower zone intercept of 8.05m @ 1.21% Li2O from 325.35m down hole
- Drill-hole MF23-237 with 11.55m @ 1.06% Li2O from 5.6m down-hole
- Drill-hole MF23-238 with 11m @ 1.13% Li2O from 7.35m down-hole
- Drill-hole MF23-244 with 7.4m @ 1.25% Li2O from 125m down-hole
Managing director, Alex Cheesman, said, “We have successfully extended the known strike of the mineralization to 1.1km – including areas of significant thickness and grade – successfully in-filled the Resource, adding both tonnage and confidence in the consistency of mineralization, plus identified a new lower zone of mineralization. All of this sets us up very well for a future resource upgrade.”
The drilling results are now being incorporated in resource modelling work and will underpin a future mineral resource upgrade.
In addition, results are also pending from workstreams completed recently across the Northern Prospects, aimed at developing high-confidence future drill targets.
The Northern Prospects provide an immediate opportunity to further expand the scale of the company’s inventory across the broader Mavis Lake Project Area.
