Arika Resources Limited (ASX: ARI) has received the remaining assays from its recently completed RC drilling campaign at the Landed at Last Prospect, part of the Yundamindra Gold Project, situated 65km southwest of Laverton in the world class eastern goldfields mining district of Western Australia.
Arika’s managing director Justin Barton said: “Our follow-up drilling program at Landed at Last has returned more impressive thick gold intersections confirming the scale of the opportunity and importantly has extended mineralization at depth in fresh rock. With the outstanding results returned from our maiden drilling program in May at Landed at Last and Bonaparte, these results further enhance our belief that a significant shallow gold orebody or system that extends for 2.5km may be emerging on the western line of Yundamindra.
Most of the holes completed have reported thick zones of significant medium and high-grade gold mineralization, both from within the near surface oxide/supergene zone and at depth within fresh rock, with several holes reporting exceptional results.
Further exceptional shallow gold results confirmed in final assays received from the recently completed RC drilling program at Land at Last, part of the Yundamindra Project WA, including:
- 30m @ 2.26 g/t Au from 26m (YMRC050); including:
- 4m @ 11.72 g/t Au from 40m
- 1m @ 24.10 g/t Au from 43m
- 40m @ 1.22 g/t Au from 30m (YMRC048); including
- 7m @ 6.19 g/t Au from 45m
- 4m @ 8.94 g/t Au from 48m
- 26m @ 1.46 g/t Au from 22m (YMRC046) including
- 9m @ 3.61 g/t Au from 23m
- 2m @ 9.40 g/t Au from 24m
- 25m @ 1.1g/t Au from 30m (YMRC049)
- 6m @ 3. 53 g/t Au from 36m
- 1m @ 9.70 g/t Au from 37m
These new results confirm continuity and quality of the recently reported intercepts from Arika’s maiden program in May, which included:
- 14m @ 3.13g/t Au from 28m (YMRC0003)
- 9m @ 4.29g/t Au from 51m (YMRC0004)
- 12m @ 2.93g/t Au from 43m (YMRC0023)
- 5m @ 6.40g/t Au from 80m (YMRC0030)
Landed at Last is part of a ~2.5km long gold mineralized corridor comprising multiple gold bearing structures, with less than half of the structures drill tested, and historical drilling of structures restricted to sub-50m depth.
Arika’s drilling has confirmed thick, high-grade gold mineralization extending from surface and remaining open at depth and along strike.
A review of geophysical and geochemical data is in progress to guide ongoing definition drilling at Landed at Last.
Follow-up drill programmes at the Yundamindra Project, including at Pennyweight Point which is located circa 6km from Landed at Last, are in the final stages of planning with drilling anticipated to re-commence imminently.
Combined with the outstanding results also returned from this same program at Pennyweight Point, which sits circa 6km to the east of Landed at Last, a significant and exciting gold story is building at Yundamindra, and we have only just started to scratch the surface. With gold prices continuing to hit record levels and all prospects at Yundamindra on mining leases, this is an exciting time for shareholders as we look to unlock the value in this project. Following these results, we are now in the final stages of planning our follow-up drilling programme at Pennyweight Point and the greater Landed at Last prospects, with drilling anticipated to recommence shortly.”
