Elevate Uranium Limited (ASX: EL8 | OTC: ELVUF) is ramping up exploration at its Hirabeb Uranium Prospect within the Koppies Project Area in Namibia.
Elevate Uranium’s managing director, Murray Hill, commented: The Hirabeb Prospect continues to expand with recent drilling confirming extensions to the mineralized zone over a large area. The results are impressive, displaying good thickness of mineralization with some excellent grades in excess of 1,000ppm eU3O8. In addition, ongoing geological review of results to date has identified four new target areas warranting follow up. This is very encouraging with the Hirabeb tenement boundary located less than 12km from the tenement boundary of the Koppies resource and potentially could become a satellite to the existing Koppies Resource.”
The company’s current drilling programme is focussed on a 4.5km strike length zone of mineralization in the southcentral area of the tenement. In addition, interpretation of results from exploration drilling completed earlier this calendar year has identified four new exploration target areas warranting further investigation.
Drilling of the mineralized areas at Hirabeb Prospect, within the greater Koppies Uranium Project, returns high-grade uranium results.
- Hirabeb demonstrates a similar mineralization style to that of the Koppies resource, located 12km to the north
- Mineralization is shallow with all significant intercepts commencing within 10m of surface
Standout intersections include:
- 6.0m at 797 ppm eU3O8 from 4.5 m, including 2.0m at 1,482ppm eU3O8 o 6.5 m at 584 ppm eU3O8 from 8.5m, including 1.5m at 1,040ppm eU3O8
- Four new exploration target areas at Hirabeb, identified for follow up
- Drilling at Hirabeb is expected to continue for the rest of the calendar year as the Company works towards defining and estimating a maiden resource.
“Distribution of the mineralisation at Hirabeb shows similarities to that at the Koppies resource, with the majority of the mineralization intersected to date commencing at a depth less than 10m from surface. Like the Koppies resource, the mineralisation is not constrained by the palaeochannel but also extends into basement lithologies. This is exciting as it indicates the opportunity for growth of the mineralised areas.” Added Murray.
