Combined Wiluna Mineral Resource Estimate Now Stands At for 293,000 Ounces
New studies undertake by GWR Group Limited (ASX:GWR) has added an additional 403,000 tonnes to the Mineral Resource Estimate for Wiluna West Gold Project in Western Australia.
The JORC rated upgrade comes as GWR considers its options to advance the Wiluna West Gold Project (WWGP).
Experienced mining consultants Optiro update the remaining JORC 2004 Mineral Resource estimates at WWGP to JORC 2012 Mineral Resource estimates with the project’s combined JORC-2012 Mineral Resource estimate has increased to 4,570,000 tonnes at 2.0 g/t Au for 293,000 oz Au.
Following completion of additional drilling, in mid-2019, GWR requested Optiro to update the Eagle, Emu, Golden Monarch and Joyners Find deposits and to report these estimates using the JORC 2012 Mineral Resource code.
Optiro has now reviewed the remaining JORC 2004 deposits and prepared a JORC 2012 Mineral Resource estimate for the following deposits: Bottom Camp, Bowerbird, Brilliant, Bronzewing, Wren, Comedy King, Golden King and Gold Hawk.
Chairman, Gary Lyons, said GWR believes those deposits contain considerable exploration upside along GWR’s 22km of Joyners Find Greenstone Belt that sits adjacent to the prolific Norseman – Wiluna Greenstone Belt.
“With GWR’s Wiluna West Iron Ore Project C4 deposit now delivering revenue streams for shareholders, the company has been very active in its efforts to maximise the value of the Wiluna West Gold Project,” Mr Lyons said.
“We believe we are close to finalising a plan that will reward shareholders and realise the potential of our gold portfolio.”
