Highest-Grade Undeveloped Primary Silver Project In Australia
Investigator Resources Limited (ASX: IVR) has drilled further high-grade intersections from infill drilling at the Paris Silver Project in South Australia.
The company has received additional assay results from its 20,500m infill drilling campaign at Paris – the highest-grade undeveloped primary silver project in Australia.
Managing Director, Andrew McIlwain said that with a JORC 2012 resource of 9.3 Mt @ 139g/t Ag and 0.6% Pb for 42 Moz contained silver and 55 kt contained lead, Paris is a shallow, high-grade silver deposit amenable to open pit mining.
“We have now received the results for the intervals that were not previously reported in drillholes on Lines 8 and 8.25 in our ASX announcement of November 5, 2020.
“We are continuing to see high-grade intercepts, particularly proximal to the dolomite contact, such as 9m @ 478g/t Ag, including 5m @ 755g/t Ag, in hole PPRC478 and 25m @ 258g/t Ag, including 13m @ 443g/t Ag, in the lower section of hole PPRC480. These are new results, which were not reported in the early November release.
“Importantly, these results continue to support our objective with this infill drill campaign of improving both the grade and confidence in the estimated resource.
“We will complete the 20,500m infill drill program by the end of November and move the RC rig on to the 6,000m regional exploration programme so there will be assays coming through on a regular basis for the next four months and I look forward to providing further updates on these as they are received.”
Mr McIlwain said these new and final assays on Line 8.25 are encouraging and further improve the compan’s confidence in the resource outside the “200m Zone”. Interpretation from the observed geology and the intersections continues to provide evidence that there is a strong and broad zone of high grade silver mineralisation in a flat lying orientation adjacent to, or slightly above, the dolomite surface.
