Laneway Resources Limited (ASX: LNY) has commenced processing of Agate Creek high grade gold ore following completion of the refurbishment and recommissioning of the Georgetown Gold Processing Plant in Queensland.

Mining operations continue to progress well with over 22,500 tonnes of high-grade ore having now been mined at Agate Creek since mining operations recommenced in June. A total of 30,000 tonnes at ~8 g/t is expected to be mined by early October from the current pit at Sherwood.

Managing Director, Brad Gordon, said the commencement of processing of high-grade ore today is a significant milestone in Laneway’s transition to gold producer.
It follows the successful completion of the refurbishment and re-commisioning of the Georgetown Gold Processing Plant.
Laneway now has control over its gold production future with processing and mining activities all progressing well. Strong cash flows will commence shortly, with the first gold pour expected at the end of next week.
“With the completion of the processing plant refurbishment and commencement of processing of high-grade ore underway, Laneway has successfully executed on a critical stage of its journey towards being a substantial gold producer,” Mr Gordon said.
“The strong cashflows that can now be generated will establish a solid base for unlocking the considerable value in our project portfolio.”
