MetalsGrove Mining Limited (ASX: MGA) has identified multiple high priority carbonatite and REE bearing drill targets at the company’s Bruce Prospect in Australia’s Northern Territory.
Recent work has highlighted an outcropping strike of carbonatite and high grade REE mineralization that now extends more than nine km long with multiple parallel mineralized lodes identified within a 600m wide corridor.
The new carbonatite REE mineralization significantly increases the footprint of known REE mineralization to >nine km of strike length.
A total of 1,140 soil samples and chip samples were sent to Intertek Laboratory, with a peak result of 1,800ppm TREO, 38% HREO/TREO, 31% MREO/TREO, 23% NdPr/TREO, 23% Y2O3/TREO.
The company has already identified a broad conductor along strike from the Plenty River mine and recent geophysical identified large intrusive system which has not been tested to date. The soil geochemistry highlights and refines new drilling targets for testing in Q2 CY 2023.
“We are delighted with the outcomes from this soil sampling programme which clearly highlight a large footprint of potentially high-grade mineralization within our Bruce Prospect,” Managing Director, Sean Sivasamy, said.
“Our geological review has established multiple high priority carbonatite and REE bearing drill targets that will be a priority for testing during our maiden drill programme this quarter.
“Our Arunta Project continues to shape as an exciting opportunity for MetalsGrove over the coming months and we look forward to providing regular updates on progress as exploration increases.”
