Pan Global Resources Inc. (TSXV: PGZ | OTCQX: PGZFF) has completed its first sustainability assessment report from the independent assessment platform, Digbee ESGTM.
Tim Moody, president, and CEO, commented, “The 2023 ESG report marks a significant milestone in the company’s journey towards excellence in environmental, social, community engagement, health and safety practices, and governance. The report underscores our commitment to responsible operating practices.”
“Our inaugural report showcases the company’s dedication to the principles of sustainability and highlights the positive impact in the communities where we operate. We have embraced continual learning as we approach the next phases of development at the Escacena Project.” Said Mr. Moody.
The ESG report has given a thorough evaluation of the company’s performance across a range of ESG measures. Importantly, it has provided Pan Global with a standing to target further improvements in future as part of the standardized scoring process by Digbee’s independent panel of qualified mining ESG experts.
In addition to Pan Global’s commitment to environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and governance excellence, the company is aligned with the inclusion of copper in the EU Critical Raw Materials Act.
As a copper exploration company in Spain, the company’s commitment to responsible exploration of copper and other metals contributes to the EU’s efforts to establish a robust supply chain for critical raw materials.
Jamie Strauss, founder, and CEO of Digbee, said, “As an EU developer of critical mineral products and as the first Spanish junior exploration company to join the UN Global Compact initiative, Pan Global acknowledges the importance of planning an ESG journey that relies not just on compliance but recognizes the benefits of best practice. Through the Digbee process, it is expected that Pan Global will prioritize areas of improvement with which it will act on over the coming 12 months.”
