Raiden Resources Limited (ASX: RDN) has reported further visual sulphide mineralisation over significant widths as it prepares to conclude its maiden diamond drilling programme at its flagship Ni-Cu-Co-PGE Mt Sholl Project in Western Australia.
“We are highly encouraged by the continuous visual sulphide mineralisation intercepted to date over all three of the Mt Sholl deposits,” Managing Director, Dusko Ljubojevic, said.
“These early visual results provide confidence in the historical drilling and we are hopeful
the laboratory results will confirm historical values. With the drilling programme completed well ahead of the planned schedule, we anticipate this will also result in a saving from the budgeted amount, allowing us to deploy further funds towards planned metallurgical evaluations; further targeting on the project and JORC resource modelling.
“As soon as the initial laboratory results have been quality controlled and interpreted, we will be releasing them to the market.
“To date, of the 38 completed drill holes, all holes have intersected visual Nickel and Copper mineralisation and correlates well with initial modelling.
“With two final drill holes underway and planned for Saturday October 22, completion, we are hopeful of a 100% success rate on the maiden programme.”
As previously reported, the maiden drilling programme over Mt Sholl’s three historical deposits, namely the A1, B1, and B2 deposits, aims to confirm selected historical results; confirm the company’s geological model of the deposit, as well as provide material for initial metallurgical testing.
Visual geological logging to date has confirmed significant Nickel and Copper sulphide mineralisation over significant widths and in line with the company’s Exploration target modelling.
The programme has generated a significant amount of material for metallurgical evaluations and testing, which will hopefully allow the company to further optimise the work undertaken by previous explorers. The analysis will be undertaken over the following months.
