Rincon Resources Limited (ASX:RCR) has added the position of Managing Director to current Chief Executive Officer Gary Harvey’s roles at the company.
Mr Gary Harvey graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science (Geology) in 1994 and is a member of the Australia Institute of Geoscientists and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
He has more than 25 years’ experience in gold and nickel exploration, having led successful teams at various levels, ranging from grass-roots exploration, near- mine evaluation and resource definition on numerous gold and nickel projects throughout Western Australia.
Mr Harvey previously held senior exploration roles with Johnsons Well Mining NL, Forrestania Gold NL, Lionore Australia Pty Ltd and Viceroy Australia Pty Ltd, and a technical-support role with Fortescue Metals Group.
He played key roles in the discovery and development of several gold and nickel deposits, including Blue Haze, Thunderbox, Birthday Gift/Main Lode, Burbanks North, Newminster, Emily Anne, Maggie Hayes and Mt Thirsty.
Mr Harvey was most recently the Exploration Manager for Barra Resources Limited, responsible for the exploration and development of their gold assets and left the company following its transition to underground mining at the Burbank’s Gold Project, WA.
