Sitka Gold Corp. (CSE: SIG | OTCQB: SITKF) has announced extremely high-grade assay results for hole ‘DDRCCC-23-46’, which was a part of the company’s 2023 summer drilling programme at its Blackjack deposit at the RC gold project. The hole intersected 108g/t gold over 1.2m, the assay came from a 38.2m interval that graded 4.15g/t gold. This has been the highest-grade intercept to date.
“Grades of this nature are quite exceptional for a reduced intrusion-related gold system and, along with several other high-grade drill intercepts and outcrop rock samples received to date, appear to indicate that there is a high-grade component to the gold system present at the Clear Creek intrusive complex,” commented Car Coe, Sitka director and CEO.
“Hole 46 confirms that persistent gold mineralization continues to the east of the current resource boundary and highlights the potential for mineralization to extend at least 550m through to the Saddle zone where limited previous test drilling has returned some very encouraging numbers, such as 18.8m of 1.34g/t gold.”
Highlights from DDRCCC-23-046 included:
○ 56.0m of 1.23g/t Au from 134.0m including,
■ 9.7m of 2.81 g/t Au from 168.0m and
○ 38.2m of 4.15g/t Au from 320.8m including,
■ 4.3m of 33.10g/t Au from 326.1m including,
■ 1.2m of 108.00g/t Au from 327.8m
The RC gold project is a district-scale landholding in the Tombstone Gold Belt in Yukon, Canada. The Blackjack deposit contains approximately 921Koz of Au in 35.8Mt inferred, averaging 0.83g/t Au. The initial inferred resource estimate included both the Blackjack and Eiger deposits. Together they total 61.1Mt grading 0.68g/t Au, containing 1.3Moz.
The two deposits are situated near highways and power infrastructure and can be accessed by road throughout the year. They are open in all directions and are located within a 500m by 5km intrusion-related gold system that was recently discovered on property.
