SPC Nickel Corp. (TSXV: SPC) has reported the assay results for the last 11 out of 27 drill holes completed at the West Graham project’s first phase drilling programme in Ontario, Canada.
With phase one of the program complete, SPC has now established 50m spaced drilling over a large area (300m by 300m) of the footprint of the historical resource that will support the planned mineral resource estimate update.
“Our drill programme continues to support our positive outlook for the West Graham project,” commented SPC Nickel CEO and president, Grant Mourre.
“The phase one programme has achieved its goal of confirming and expanding the zone of nickel and copper mineralization a further 200m to the west of the previously defined extent of the resource model.”
The best intersections from the first phase of drilling included 2.48% Ni and 0.64% Cu over 7.80m at WG-23-26, and 1.71% Ni and 0.46% Cu over 20m at WG-23-42. Hole WG-23-043 intersected a thick zone of nickel and copper mineralization grading 0.46% Ni and 0.36% Cu over 68m from 212m to 280m. This includes a higher-grade section that returned 0.94% Ni and 0.68% Cu over 9.00m from 266m to 275m.
A total of 9,050m have been completed so far on West Graham since drilling began in early March. The phase one programme consisted of 5,338m in 27 holes and was completed in late May.
The next phase of the drilling programme is well underway, with over 3,600m already completed, and with the recently closed financing, SPC Nickel is on track to meet its goal of having an updated combined resource by the end of 2023.
