Tempus Resources Ltd (ASX: TMR) has received the much-anticipated water permit for the Rio Zarza concession, the most advanced of the company’s Zamora Projects, located in southern Ecuador.
The permit allows the company to use water for advanced exploration, including drilling, and allows for implementation of the company’s initial drilling programme at the prospect.
Managing Director, Brendan Borg, said Rio Zarza is located immediately adjacent to the world class Fruta del Norte gold mine, that has recently commenced production for Lundin Gold (TSX:LUG).
Final results and data products from the recently completed detailed geochemical and airborne geophysical surveys are expected in the coming weeks, and will be used by our Project team to prioritise and refine drill-hole specifications for the upcoming drilling programme.
Mr Borg said Tempus is in the process of evaluating tenders submitted for the upcoming drilling programme, with the program scheduled to commence in Q2 2020.
“We are pleased to have successfully navigated the permitting process for Rio Zarza, which allows us to get on with implementing our much anticipated and exciting drilling programme in a highly prospective part of Ecuador,” Mr Borg concluded.
