Significant Zone Of Gold Mineralisation Identified In El Zorro Project
Tesoro Resources Limited’s (ASX:TSO) assay results from the Ternera East Gold Target have confirmed a new gold discovery at the company’s El Zorro Gold Project in Chile.
Assays were received for hole ZDDH0166, drilled at the Ternera East Prospect, approximately 400m east of the company’s Ternera Gold Deposit.
The results included: 37.00 @ 0.49g/t from 297.00m; including 7.50m @ 1.15g/t Au from 298.50m; and 1.00m @ 3.68g/t Au from 305.00m; and 3.50m @ 1.54g/t Au from 329.00m.
Managing Director, Zeff Reeves, said the mineralised intercept confirms that previously identified outcropping intrusive bodies 400m to the east of Ternera, hosts significant gold mineralisation from surface to depth.
“This hole, along with hole ZDDH0149 demonstrate the high potential of defining additional resources outside of the Ternera Mineral Resource Model,” Mr Reeves said.
“It is our firm belief that the Ternera Deposit is part of a large Intrusive Related Gold System (IRGS) analogous to the Tintina Province in Alaska and that repetitions within the district are possible as shown by these early results from Ternera East.
“We now have two drill rigs focussed on delineating a gold resource at Ternera East which should evolve very rapidly”.
Currently six drill rigs drilling 24/7, four rigs at Ternera targeting Mineral Resource expansion and infill, two rigs drilling at Ternera East.
