Ascendant Resources Inc. (TSX:ASND) is a Toronto-based mining company focused on the exploration and development of the highly prospective Lagoa Salgada VMS project located on the prolific Iberian Pyrite Belt (IBP) in Portugal. The IBP is host to the largest concentration of volcanogenic massive sulphide deposits, over 250 deposits are known to exist within the belt, rich in Copper, Zinc, Lead, Tin, Gold & Silver containing an aggregate 1.6 billion tonnes of ore.
