Assay TV sits down with Ali Haji, CEO and director of ION Energy (TSXV: ION), Mongolia’s first lithium brine explorer and developer. Ali starts by giving a rundown of the company’s two projects: Baavhai Uul, which is close the border with China, and Urgakh Naran, which is situated in the arid South Gobi Desert.
Ali goes on to discuss recent drilling results from three holes at Urgakh Naran, including 278ppm lithium from 122m, 362ppm lithium from 65m, and 360ppm lithium from 3.6m. He then talks about about some of the advantages of operating in Mongolia, before telling us about plans for 2023, including completing hydrogeological testing then moving towards an inferred resource at Urgakh Naran.
