Assay TV sits down with Barry Cahill, Managing Director of Cyprium Metals (ASX: CYM), where he discusses the company’s Nifty Copper Project in West Australia. Recently, Cyprium announced restart study on the 25,000 tpa copper cathode operation, including for heap leach retreat and an oxide open pit.
Cyprium is expected to produce 146,100t copper metals in Phase 1 of the oxide pit over 6.3 years, with sulphide potential for over 20 years. The metallurgical test work has also confirmed 85% recovery in retreat and 90% in oxide pit material. Barry anticipates the financing and government approvals will be finalized this quarter, while the mineral resources and in-pit inventory will be updated accordingly.
