Assay TV catches up with Colin Moorhead, executive chairman and managing director of Xanadu Mines (ASX: XAM | TSX: XAM), an exploration company focused on discovering and defining porphyry copper-gold deposits in Mongolia.
Xanadu maintains a multi-stage portfolio of exploration projects and remains one of the few junior explorers on the ASX or TSX who control an emerging Tier 1 copper-gold deposit in its flagship Kharmagtai project.
Colin informs us that the company has recently received positive metallurgical test results at the Kharmagtai project, with glycine and cyanide leach tests delivering metallurgical recoveries of up to 91% gold and 46% copper, with head grades ranging between 0.52 g/t to 2.25 g/t Au and 0.12% to 0.67% Cu.
Colin also tells us that the company has recently restarted exploration work at its 100% owned Red Mountain project, located in the South Gobi region of Mongolia.
