Assay TV catches up with Joanne Freeze, President and CEO of Candente Copper (TSX: DNT). Joanne provides an update on the progress of the new PEA for the company’s flagship Cañariaco Norte Copper Project in Northern Peru.
The PEA is expected to be completed by the end of the year and is looking at ways to enhance the project’s ESG credentials, as well as reducing CAPEX and OPEX. Joanne discusses several options for achieving this, including removing the need for roasters, improving the mine’s design, and finding alternative methods for dealing with tailings.
