The Assay speaks with Justin Cochrane, founder and executive chair of Carbon Streaming (NEO: NETZ | OTCQB: OFSTF | FSE: M2Q), a Canadian-based company that uses stream financing to scale high-integrity carbon credit projects to accelerate global climate action and advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
We talk about the company’s recent project pipeline streaming agreement of nearly US$15M to advance Mast Reforestation’s post-wildfire projects in the western US. The Sheep Creek Reforestation Stream is the first under the pipeline agreement.
Justin also highlights that Carbon Streaming will only invest in long term projects, stressing that we will see carbon credits become regulated, therefore encouraging a reduction in carbon emissions and that the only way to reduce carbon emissions is to monetize them.
Carbon Streaming currently has projects operating in 12 countries across the globe.
