Matthew Bowles, the Managing Director and CEO of Alto Metals Ltd. (ASX: AME), gives The Assay TV an update on the ongoing exploration activities at the company’s Sandstone Gold Project, located in the East Murchison of Western Australia. The project covers 900km² of land, the majority of the Sandstone Greenstone Belt, where historic mining focused on near-surface oxide material, producing over 1.3Moz of gold.
However, with barely any historic drill holes probing any deeper than 100m, Alto Metals has found exploration success by drilling into the unexplored fresh rock beneath, down dip and along strike from known oxide deposits. The current JORC 2012 mineral resource estimate stands at 331,000oz at 1.7 g/t Au, and we discuss how Alto Metals plans to expand this in the coming months, with drilling ongoing and assays pending.
