The Assay TV catches up with Sam Lee, president and CEO of Northisle Copper & Gold (TSXV: NCX), a Vancouver-based company whose North Island project is a significant Canadian copper-gold porphyry deposit. The company has recently completed an updated preliminary economic assessment for the project and is rapidly advancing towards a prefeasibility study.
Sam chats about the company’s impressive turn around for permitting and assay results at its Northwest Expo and Pemberton Hills targets. Most recently, Northisle reported results of 5g/t over 15m and 3% Cu Eq, with more drill hole results to come in the next few months.
A resource estimate is on track for release by the end of 2023 (informed largely by the remaining drill hole results) and, Sam says, to initiate metallurgical testing for the gold zone located on property. He tells us about how all of this nicely sets Northisle up for a promising 2024 to help progress it toward a proper starter pit in the coming future.
