The Assay TV chats with Shaun Bunn, the managing director of Empire Metals (LON: EEE) at 121 Mining Investment Cape Town, an AIM-listed exploration and resource development company focused on exploring its Pitfield titanium project in Western Australia.
Shaun explains that Pitfield appears to contain a newly identified giant mineral system that hosts a globally significant titanium discovery. From the results of recent RC drilling, Empire now has targeting guidelines as to where to find higher-grade mineralization.
After analysis, the company found that broad, higher-grade TiO2 mineralization can be found in sandstone-rich beds and will likely focus on this for the next round of drilling. In addition, the company has received grants from the Australian government along with A$3M investment from a Saudi investor following the discovery.
