The Assay TV connects with Thomas Ullrich, CEO and director of Aston Bay Holdings (TSXV: BAY), a company focused on exploring for gold and copper in North America.
Thomas tells us about the company’s ongoing extensive drill programme at its unique Storm Copper project, Nunavut, which is the second drilling programme for American West Metals Limited (ASX: AW1) (who is the project operator), since entering an option agreement with Aston Bay in March 2021.
Thomas explains that the first four completed drill holes at the project’s 4100N Zone have started to confirm the continuity of the copper zones and highlight the resource potential of the near-surface mineralization. He also says that all drill holes have intersected thick intervals of visual sulphides, which have been confirmed to contain copper based on portable XRF analysis.
The first batch of drill samples has been sent to the laboratory for analysis, while RC drilling continues at the project with a further 12 drill holes planned at the 4100N Zone.
