This webinar kicks off with a view towards the current supply/demand scenario as well as pricing forecasts. Panellists note the role of small modular reactors as a major gamechanger in this space.
Panellists move on to discuss where investment is coming from and note the role of governments in providing regulatory support to help boost the industry. Along with this discussion on investment, panellists note how they assess opportunities and the importance of jurisdiction in these decisions. They also discuss the opportunities with equity, debt, and bank financing.
Moving on, the panel looks at nuclear’s role in the energy transition, noting a major way for the industry to gain more traction is to help remove the stigma around it. We look at the changing policies throughout the EU with regards to nuclear.
Finally, we end by taking a few additional questions from the audience and discuss appetite for exploration overall and do a detailed comparison of capital and operating costs between nuclear, coal, and other “green” energies.
